Two musicians with passionate minds
Sophie and Greg are two highly-trained musicians offering the best of their expertise for concerts, music or theatre workshops, community gatherings or cultural events. After 10 years of running a music school in France, they came back to Birr Co. Offaly to create Woodland’s Music.
Sophie is a professional pianist and piano teacher with a wide experience in accompanying choirs and soloists. Following her studies at Trinity College Dublin and the Royal Irish Academy of Music she went on to specialise in piano pedagogy and lied accompaniment at the Kodaly Institute of Music in Hungary.
Greg is a music teacher and choir director with expertise in facilitating group workshops. He is a trained Youth Theatre Facilitator and has been running Kodaly pedagogy workshops for music teachers in France and Ireland for the past 10 years.

Community singing every Tuesday night in Birr
Join the 50 singers of ‘Sing It! Community Choir’ in the beautiful venue of Birr Theatre and Art Centre. Rehearsals every Tuesday 7:30 – 9:00pm (September – May) No experience needed, just a good sense of humour and a love of music!
